The PS Plus Extra October 2026 lineup is official. Sony revealed the Game Catalog additions for the Extra and Premium tiers on the PlayStation Blog on Wednesday, October 14, led by Mafia: The Old Country, the return of Horizon Forbidden West and Tales of Arise. Most games arrive on October 20, and Premium members also get the classic Dino Crisis 2.

This is the month's second wave for subscribers after the monthly games announced at the end of September, and it is the stronger one for anyone into action and open-world adventures.

Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West lead the way

Mafia: The Old Country is the biggest name here. Released in August 2025 by Hangar 13 and 2K, it takes the series back to the roots of the mob in early 1900s Sicily, with a focused, cinematic story campaign in the spirit of the original games. Landing in the catalog a little over a year after launch makes it an easy pick for anyone who was waiting for a price drop.

Guerrilla's Horizon Forbidden West returns to the catalog on PS5 and PS4. Aloy's journey through the Forbidden West is still one of the best-looking open worlds of the generation, and it is a good way to catch up on the series before whatever comes next for the franchise.

Tales of Arise, Mycopunk and the rest of the catalog

JRPG fans get Tales of Arise in its Beyond the Dawn Edition, which bundles the post-game expansion. Mycopunk is the month's day-one release: Devolver Digital's co-op shooter launches on PS5 straight into the catalog. Rounding out the list are the horror sequel Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, the stop-motion adventure The Midnight Walk with PS VR2 support, and Milestone's official supercross game.

Dino Crisis 2 and game trials for PS Plus Premium

Premium members get two classics on October 20: Dino Crisis 2, Capcom's dinosaur survival horror game originally released on PS1, and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, both playable on PS5 and PS4. Premium also adds time-limited trials of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II on the same day.

What it means for subscribers and what to do now

If you already pay for Extra or Premium, there is nothing extra to buy: just look for the games on the PlayStation Store or in the PS Plus app from October 20 and add them to your library. If you are on Essential, this is a month where upgrading makes sense, since Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West alone cost more than a few months of the higher tier.

Essential's monthly games stay claimable until early November. See them in our story on PlayStation Plus October 2026 with F1 25 and Hunt: Showdown 1896. If you also play on Xbox, check out the Xbox Game Pass October 2026 lineup.

The full list, including HorrorFest offers for Back 4 Blood and Dead by Daylight, is in the official PlayStation Blog announcement.
