Coffee Stain Studios has revealed Satisfactory: Core Values, the first paid DLC for Satisfactory. Announced during the Big Break Showcase on September 29, 2026, the expansion will take Pioneers beneath the surface of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b and open a new frontier for construction, automation, and exploration.

Core Values does not have a release date yet, but Coffee Stain confirmed that the expansion will launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, it will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Satisfactory is going underground

Core Values will take Pioneers underground on MASSAGE-2(A-B)b, with new biomes, resources, and creatures.

The defining change in Core Values is its setting. Instead of simply expanding the playable surface, Coffee Stain will let players drill through the planet's crust and develop an underground factory network.

The expedition will take players through the crust, mantle, and deeper regions of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b. Along the way, Pioneers will encounter new cavernous biomes, resources, flora, fauna, hostile and passive creatures, and even what the studio describes as a friendly-looking feline.

The environment should also change how factories are designed. While the surface provides large open spaces, natural cave formations will restrict construction underground. Coffee Stain says new solutions will help players overcome those limitations.

Core Values will be more than another area to explore. The expansion will add new factory buildings, equipment, products, resources, and production lines.

Some underground resources will require specialized tools to extract, while new systems will provide different ways to mine, transport, and combine materials throughout production chains. That creates new logistics and automation challenges without abandoning Satisfactory's core formula.

Coffee Stain has also confirmed a new narrative. As players venture deeper underground, they will research technologies, unlock new buildings, and learn more about the mysteries of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b.

When can you start Core Values?

The DLC will integrate with progression in the base game. Players will be able to activate the expansion after reaching Tier 3 of HUB research and constructing the Space Elevator.

From that point, players will not have to abandon the main campaign. Coffee Stain says Core Values can be completed at the player's own pace, with the ability to move between the main storyline and the underground expansion.

Once the subterranean world has been unlocked, Pioneers will also be able to travel between the underground areas and the surface.

When will Satisfactory: Core Values be released?

Coffee Stain has not announced a release date for Core Values. The expansion remains in development, with more details expected to be revealed closer to launch.

What has been confirmed is a simultaneous release across Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Core Values can already be wishlisted on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with console wishlisting planned for later.

While Core Values is in development, Coffee Stain says the base game will continue receiving regular updates across all platforms.

Core Values marks a major shift for Satisfactory. After years of turning the surface of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b into sprawling industrial networks, the next challenge will be discovering how far a factory can grow when the only way forward is down.
