GTA 6 Standard vs Ultimate: which edition should you buy?
The Standard Edition is the straightforward option for players who want the game, while Ultimate adds digital extras. Rockstar lists a November 19, 2026 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What comes with Standard
The Standard Edition includes the game. Digital purchases made before November 20, 2026 receive the Vintage Vice City pre-order pack and one month of GTA+, subject to Rockstar’s stated terms.
What changes with Ultimate
Ultimate includes the digital Standard Edition plus a collection of extra vehicles, weapons, clothing, items and locations connected to Jason and Lucia’s story. Standard owners can buy the Ultimate upgrade later through their platform store.
Digital, physical and pre-load
Pre-load begins at local midnight on November 12, 2026. The physical edition contains a download code inside the box rather than a disc, and there is no physical Ultimate Edition.
