RELATED GAMEDispatchView coverage → Dispatch mobile is official: the game is coming to iOS and Android on December 9, 2026, one year after AdHoc Studio's superhero workplace comedy launched on PC and PS5. The first four episodes will be free on mobile, and the full game unlocks for $19.99.
The studio also released a free update for Digital Deluxe Edition owners that adds a Commentary Mode with more than 16 hours of cast and crew tracks, plus a Storyboard Mode that lets you play the whole story as its original animatics.

Dispatch mobile release date and price
AdHoc Studio confirmed the details in its one-year anniversary announcement. The mobile version arrives on December 9 for iOS and Android, and it will also be playable through Google Play Games on PC.
- Release date: December 9, 2026.
- Price: the first four episodes are free; the full game costs $19.99, with regional pricing varying by store.
- Controls: the base game has been rebuilt for touch screens and vertical play.
- Pre-registration: AdHoc says it opens soon on the App Store and Google Play.
The mobile launch is a big step for a game that started on PC and PS5 in October 2025, reached Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in January 2026 and arrived on Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store in July 2026.
Commentary Mode and Storyboard Mode explained
The anniversary update is already live and free for anyone who owns the Digital Deluxe Edition. It adds two new ways to replay the story.
Commentary Mode
Commentary Mode adds more than 16 hours of audio tracks recorded by the cast and the development team. You choose cast or crew commentary in the settings, and the choices you make in the story affect which commentary unlocks. AdHoc names Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham among the featured voices. The commentary is English audio only, with no subtitles.
Storyboard Mode
Storyboard Mode swaps the finished animation for the original storyboard animatics of every episode, so you can see how each scene was planned. It works with commentary turned on or off.
On Nintendo Switch, AdHoc says players need to download a new DLC pack before the modes appear. Owners of the standard edition can upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition for $10.99.

Dispatch has passed five million players
AdHoc Studio says Dispatch reached more than five million players in its first year, a remarkable result for a debut project from a studio founded by former Telltale Games developers. Gematsu also reported the mobile date and the Deluxe update.
The game casts you as Robert Robertson, a former superhero who takes a job coordinating a team of troubled heroes at a dispatch center. Its mix of narrative choices, comedy and a dispatch management layer helped it stand out among story-driven games, and its cast is one of the main selling points.

Physical editions, vinyl and more anniversary news
The mobile date was not the only news in the anniversary post. AdHoc also confirmed:
- Physical Deluxe Edition for PS5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch 2, with a 16-page pocket guide, a double-sided poster and a soundtrack code. AdHoc says shipping starts in the holiday season.
- Dispatch Design Works, a hardcover making-of book planned for 2027, with pre-order details at the end of November.
- A three-record vinyl soundtrack with the score by Andrew Arcadi and licensed tracks.
- Night Shift, a 21+ live event in Los Angeles on December 3, 2026, where the score will be performed live.
What it means for players
If you already own Dispatch Digital Deluxe, the anniversary update is a free reason to replay the story, especially if you want to explore other choices and unlock different commentary tracks. If you own the standard edition, the $10.99 upgrade is the way in.
For new players, the free first four episodes on mobile are the cheapest way to try the game before paying. Just keep in mind that the console and PC versions remain the best fit if you want the full cinematic experience on a big screen. Looking for more story-driven picks on Sony's console? What comes next
The next date to watch is December 9, when Dispatch launches on iOS and Android. Before that, AdHoc plans to open mobile pre-registration and share pre-order details for Design Works at the end of November.
