ArcheAge Chronicles Early Access Starts November 3: Price, Release Time, PC Specs and What's Included

ArcheAge Chronicles early access finally has a date. XLGAMES confirmed that its open-world action MMORPG opens on Steam on Tuesday, November 3, at 3 p.m. PST (6 p.m. EST), priced at $29.99 in North America. Pre-orders went live on October 27.

It matters because this is the first new ArcheAge in more than a decade from the studio that made the original, and the demo was one of the most played at the latest Steam Next Fest. Here is what you get at launch, what is still missing and whether your PC can handle it.

ArcheAge Chronicles early access: release time and price

According to the official announcement and the ArcheAge Chronicles Steam page, these are the key details:

• Early Access start: November 3 at 3 p.m. PST / 6 p.m. EST / 11 p.m. UTC.
• Price: $29.99 in North America, with regional pricing elsewhere. XLGAMES says the price may change at full release and that any change will be announced in advance.
• Platform: PC via Steam only for Early Access.
• Pre-order bonus: the Dawn Pioneer Set, an exclusive costume for one class of your choice, claimed in-game once Early Access begins.
• Languages: English interface and subtitles, full Korean voice-over, plus Simplified and Traditional Chinese text.

The official website also carries PlayStation and Xbox store links, but XLGAMES has not given a date for any console version. For now, this is a PC launch.

What is included at launch

Built in Unreal Engine 5, ArcheAge Chronicles mixes a cinematic story campaign with the sandbox systems the series is known for. The Early Access build includes three regions (Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains) and four classes with two weapons each, for eight weapon styles in total.

On top of questing, players get dungeons, raids, PvP, housing, crafting and trading. Combat is faster and more combo-driven than in the original ArcheAge, with weapon-specific skills, parries and animation cancels, which is what demo players praised most.

ArcheAge Chronicles PC requirements

This is not a lightweight MMO. The Steam listing asks for a 64-bit system, 100 GB of space on an SSD and fairly modern hardware:

• Minimum: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.
• Recommended: Windows 11 64-bit, Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.

How long Early Access lasts and what comes next

XLGAMES expects Early Access to run for about 9 to 12 months, while noting that the timeline can shift with feedback. The full release is planned to add more regions, extra gender options for some classes, a third weapon for every class, combat balance and progression changes (including party channels), and expanded life skills and community content.

Executive producer Yongjin Ham thanked Next Fest players and said the team will keep folding feedback into regular updates throughout Early Access. The demo, available from October 19 to 26, finished fifth on Steam's Most Played Demos list.

Should you buy ArcheAge Chronicles in Early Access?

At $29.99, the entry price is lower than most new MMOs, and launch-window players get the costume bonus. The trade-off is clear: half the planned weapon roster per class is still to come, there are only three regions, and only four classes are available. Players who want a finished endgame may prefer to wait for the 1.0 roadmap to take shape.
