LOUD win VALORANT Champions 2026, and in doing so they made history. On Sunday, October 18, the Brazilian side beat Team Vitality 3-1 in the grand final at Shanghai's Mercedes-Benz Arena, becoming the first organization ever to win Riot Games' world championship twice.

The title is worth $1 million and comes four years after LOUD's first crown in Istanbul in 2022. It also introduced the scene to a new star: Chile's Roberto "erde" Lobos, just 18 years old, was named tournament MVP.

How LOUD win VALORANT Champions 2026 played out

The grand final was a rematch of the upper bracket final, which LOUD took 2-1 just days earlier. Vitality, the EMEA representative, fought their way back through the lower bracket with a 3-1 win over 100 Thieves, but ran into an opponent that already had their number.

Here is the map-by-map breakdown of the series:

  • Summit: LOUD 13-11 Vitality
  • Lotus: LOUD 8-13 Vitality
  • Sunset: LOUD 13-5 Vitality
  • Haven: LOUD 13-10 Vitality

Summit was the tightest map of the night and came down to a handful of rounds. Vitality hit back convincingly on Lotus to level the final, but LOUD ran away with Sunset, giving up only five rounds, and closed out the trophy on Haven with a composed performance.

erde becomes the youngest MVP in Champions history

LOUD's in-game leader erde was named the event's best player at 18. According to CNN Brasil, that makes him the youngest MVP in the tournament's history, edging out a LOUD legend in the process: Erick "aspas", who earned the award in 2022 at 19.

The championship roster features lukxo, tkzin, erde, Darker and DaviH, with Romanilly as head coach. It is a very different lineup from the 2022 squad, which makes the second title even more meaningful: LOUD rebuilt and returned to the top with a new generation.

What the second title means for LOUD and Brazil

In 2022, LOUD defeated OpTic Gaming in Istanbul to deliver Brazil's first VALORANT world title. Brazilian fans have remained among the loudest in the game ever since, but the country had not lifted the trophy again until now. LOUD are now the only team with two Champions titles.

Interest in the event was high from day one: as we reported, VALORANT Champions 2026 opened with 606K peak viewers, ahead of last year's start. A grand final featuring a Brazilian team is likely to push viewership and search interest even higher over the next day or two.

The result also lands during a rough stretch for the esports business, which has seen cuts and the end of long-running organizations such as Complexity, which ceased operations after 23 years. For LOUD, a second world title strengthens the brand and its commercial value.

What comes next: VCT 2027

With Champions in the books, the 2026 pro season is over. Riot has already announced the VCT 2027 format, a tournament-first season with more than 50 events across Opens, Kickoff, Cups, Masters and Champions, visiting 15 cities. Kickoff Qualifiers begin in November.

LOUD head into next year as the team everyone wants to beat. Vitality, meanwhile, leave Shanghai with $400,000 for second place and the feeling that a couple of rounds on Summit could have changed the story.
