Who are the characters in GTA 6?
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are at the center of Grand Theft Auto VI, but Rockstar has already introduced several characters who will populate Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.
The story begins after an apparently easy score goes wrong, leaving Jason and Lucia caught in a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state. Their survival will require them to rely on each other more than ever.
Beyond the lead duo, Rockstar has officially introduced Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder.
Here's what Rockstar has actually confirmed about them.
Jason Duval
Jason grew up around criminals and grifters.
After a troubled adolescence, he spent time in the Army in an attempt to turn his life around. He eventually ended up in the Leonida Keys working for local drug runners.
Jason wants an easier life, but his circumstances continue pulling him deeper into crime.
Meeting Lucia could also become either the best or worst thing that has ever happened to him, according to Rockstar's official character profile.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia's father taught her to fight from an early age.
Fighting for her family eventually landed her in Leonida Penitentiary, and when she gets out, Lucia is determined to make smarter moves and change the odds in her favor.
Her history also connects GTA VI with another legendary location from the series.
Rockstar says Lucia wants the better life her mother dreamed about since their days in Liberty City.
Rather than simply dreaming about that future, Lucia intends to make it happen herself.
And a life with Jason may provide a way out.
What is Jason and Lucia's relationship?
Rockstar hasn't revealed the complete trajectory of their relationship.
What we know is that they're closely connected and forced to rely on one another after becoming involved in a criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida.
Jason's official profile suggests meeting Lucia could become either the best or worst thing to happen to him, while Lucia's profile says a life with Jason could represent her way out.
Beyond that, theories involving betrayals, endings or specific events should still be treated as speculation.
Cal Hampton
Cal Hampton is Jason's friend and another associate of Brian Heder.
He prefers staying home, drinking beer and monitoring Coast Guard communications rather than chasing Jason's bigger ambitions. Rockstar portrays him as deeply interested in conspiracies and paranoia.
Boobie Ike
Boobie Ike is a Vice City legend who successfully turned his street experience into a legitimate business empire.
His interests include real estate, a strip club and a recording studio.
One of his biggest current investments is his partnership with Dre'Quan Priest and Only Raw Records.
Now they need a hit.
Dre'Quan Priest
Dre'Quan Priest has always wanted to break into the music industry.
Even while dealing on the streets to make ends meet, music remained his real goal.
Working alongside Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan is now focused on establishing Only Raw Records in the Vice City music scene.
And he has already signed Real Dimez.
Who are Real Dimez?
Real Dimez consists of longtime friends Bae-Luxe and Roxy.
The pair turned their experiences hustling local dealers into rap music and a relentless social-media presence.
An early collaboration with local rapper DWNPLY gave them their first major success.
Five years and plenty of trouble later, they're signed to Only Raw Records and looking for another hit.
Raul Bautista
Raul Bautista is an experienced bank robber.
Rockstar describes him as confident, charming and cunning, constantly searching for talented people willing to accept bigger risks for bigger rewards.
His recklessness, however, raises the stakes with every job.
That could eventually force the people around him to decide whether to keep going or walk away.
Brian Heder
Brian Heder is an old-school drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys.
He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, but has been around long enough that he prefers letting other people handle the dirty work.
Jason is one of those people.
Brian allows him to live rent-free at one of his properties as long as Jason helps with local shakedowns.

Are Jason and Lucia the only playable protagonists?
Rockstar consistently places Jason and Lucia at the center of GTA VI's official story descriptions and marketing.
However, Rockstar has not publicly explained every detail of how character control will work throughout the entire campaign.
For that reason, we should distinguish between what is confirmed and what is assumed.
Confirmed: Jason and Lucia are GTA VI's central characters.
Not fully detailed: every aspect of the game's playable-character structure.
When does GTA 6 launch?
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026.
Rockstar currently lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the confirmed platforms.

What can we expect from GTA 6's cast?
Rockstar appears to be building GTA VI around a network of interconnected characters.
Jason and Lucia are at its center, surrounded by drug runners, bank robbers, entrepreneurs, musicians and people deeply connected to Vice City's culture.
Brian connects Jason to criminal work in the Keys. Boobie and Dre'Quan represent Vice City's music business. Real Dimez connects music with social-media culture. Raul represents higher-risk criminal operations.
All of them exist within a story that eventually puts Jason and Lucia inside a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida.
There are still plenty of unanswered questions.
As Rockstar introduces additional characters, this guide can be continuously updated, giving Players Realm a permanent reference page for GTA VI's cast.
