During BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard confirmed that the Amazon will be the next playable class coming to Diablo IV, bringing back a character archetype many players have known since Diablo II.

The class is scheduled to arrive in the first half of 2027 as Blizzard continues expanding Diablo IV.

The announcement confirms something Diablo fans have been requesting for years:

the Amazon is finally returning to Sanctuary.

Who Is the Amazon in Diablo?

The Amazon is one of the classic classes from Diablo II.

She became known for her ability to switch between very different styles of combat.

Bows and ranged attacks allowed players to eliminate enemies from a distance, while spears and javelins opened the door to more aggressive playstyles.

That versatility helped make the Amazon one of Diablo II's most recognizable classes.

Now, more than two decades later, Blizzard is bringing that fantasy into Diablo IV.
